Karo — trader first, founder second

I'm Karo. I trade, I journal obsessively, and I built MindTradr — a psychology-first trading journal — because the tool I needed didn't exist when I needed it most.

The origin story

~180,000 PLN of tuition

The short version: I lost around 180,000 PLN (about $50K) in the markets. Not to one bad trade — to hundreds of small, emotional decisions. Moved stops. Doubled into losers. Revenge sessions after drawdowns. My setups were mostly fine; I was the leak, and no spreadsheet column ever showed me that.

I've written the longer version of what that loss taught me in I Lost $50K Trading: What I Learned About Myself. The full origin story is coming as its own post.

Why MindTradr exists

Track the trader, not just the trades

Every journal I tried tracked the trades and ignored the person making them. But my losses didn't come from bad entries — they came from bad states: tired, tilted, FOMO-driven, revenge-hungry. MindTradr records mood, sleep and stress next to every trade, detects the patterns (revenge trading, overtrading, tilt cascades), and steps in before the next bad decision — not after.

The blog

I write practical trading-psychology pieces — no indicators, no signal groups, just the behavioral side of why accounts bleed. Browse all articles →
